Nice work, Chilly! I'm sure you could have reduced teh footprint by half, though, with a little work.
A basic CPU can be easily built up from a pile of logic gates and flipflops... I've worked on quite a few systems that were just that. These were mostly hard-programmed, of course, but I did work with some software-driven processors that took up entire 24"x24" boards... just glad I didn't have to troubleshoot those down to component-level.

Yeah your right D1. That was done over 3 years ago, and back then i spent ages looking at how to reduce the size. Looking at it now i can see plenty of room.
Oh well, i probably couldn't see for looking, and i probably needed room to play with incase of any problems.
