X2 4000+ /or 4200+ is recommandable and they are quite cheap.

meh id still suggest that bundle from frys. it works out cheaper for a pretty decent board and a better processor

For a video card I strongly suggest against the 8600 as they literally suck for gaming. Try and snag a hd3850 if you can find it, Performance is a lot better

Of course better a 3850, if it fits in the budget no question about it.... i said the 8600GT because with it you can play with high settings at a 1024X768 res.

well frys has a lot of deals like that each week. Once they had a e6350 with board for 150 and a extra 50 for the ram and psu...

eh...I think I just figured out that I'm pretty sure that powersupply i have on there won't be able to handle the x1950 pro..

is that true?

here is a link for that case model from the manufacturer website--it has more detail on the power supply...I don't know much about ps's and 12v rails and all that jazz
