Wii: MoH Heros 2...Online Deathmatch
so last night i went to my local grocery/clothing/hardware/garden/furniture/booze/electronics store known as Fred Meyers. I gingerly walked my way to the fable electronics section where, i met up with my friend who worked there. I told him i wanted to get a game from the case of games. As we walked to the Wii section, all the other hit games were calling out to me like Japanese whores in a brothel. Their cries for acceptance fell on deaf ears. Their 1080p graphics, large online communities, and intense violence didn't phase me even a little. I had eyes for one, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 for my little Wii. Exuberantly I grabbed the second to last copy that was behind the glass restraints. I then motions to my friend to fetch the ladder so that i may also obtain the fabled Wii Zapper. With my two new devices of pure joy.
After a nail biting 5 minute drive to my home i ran into the house and opened my new Wii zapper. Its a nice product, keeping the cable to the nunchuck hidden inside the handle, smooth lines. Very classy. I installed my WiiMote and nunchuck and popped in MoHH.
I was greeted with a very nice, era authentic comic style menu. After turning on the Wii Zapper control scheme and going through the tutorial, i went to the part of the game that made me the most giddy, the 32 player online death match.
As i was about to hit the button for the enjoyment i so deserved, i realized i was late for work, my lunch break had ended. I had to rush back to work and endure 2 more grueling hours of help desk.
5pm came around and i was all pumped for the epic action online that was going to be given to me. But, certain boyfriend duties came along and i had to venture to my girlfriends house to have dinner with her and her family. Hours later i realized i had passed out on the couch with after dinner Itis...I arose and said goodbye to my female and i ventured home as fast as i could.
I flung the door open and galloped into my office where my cute wii zapper sat, waiting for my quivering hand to grasp it.
POWER ON!!! i quickly jumped through the menus straight to the online portion, i entered my EA nation username and came to a very minimalistic server screen. I clicked on the one that had the largest player list, 18 players.
I was then confronted with a Skin selection, weapon select, and whether or not i would be Allies or Axis. I hit the random button a few times and i then flew into battle.
The graphics arent that good, im not gonna lie. But the fun that i found when i played. Running into a room and shooting at the enemies. It takes a round or two to get really used to the Wii Zapper control scheme, but you know what? IT WORKS! running, spinning around, swapping weapons, melee, reloading. Its all very intuitive and becomes second nature. Playing with devilish foes and honorable allies online was so much fun. More fun than a halos or a gears of warz. Everyone was cold and heartless, quite killing machines with 1 goal, shoot the other guy.
---------------FINAL VERDICT----------------
I haven't played the campaign, but i can imagine its all the same. We've all played the CoD and MoH games before, we know what to expect. But the online portion for the Wii is so epic i cant stand it! The Wii controls are the future, new games with new control cradles will dictate how we play. If you own a Wii, get this mother fucker. 70 bux gets you the game and the Zapper, plus some Zelda crossbow game.
I am completely sold, it is the closest thing to actually going to shoot your friends that we are going to get in a video game for a long time now

How is the zapper? IGN gave it overall pretty good ratings, other than the fact there is no spring on the trigger, so it can be a bit weird and not very nice to play with especially when you need to do a lot of clicking
That said.... I need to get a zapper and dust off my wii, and head back into battle of cod3.
