Exclamation windows vista vs ps3

Im having trouble with sharing my media with my ps3 with
my computer. Is the ps3 even compatible with windows vista
like the xbox 360 is. Because the xbox 360 can detect a
windows media player library from windows vista so can ps3
do the same?

You should have started a new thread for this question as it does not relate to the hand controller at all. So people may not read it since the heading for the thread does not match yours.

John is right - in the future, create a new thread unless you find a thread with the same problem that is pretty recent. It'll help you get helped faster, and keeps things organized. I split your post off into its own thread this time.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with PS3 and Vista networking, so I can't offer much help myself. I'm pretty certain it can be done, though, as I believe that's how a friend of mine had his set up for a while.

You might be able to get basic media sharing functions, but no, it's not really that compatible. The Xbox 360 is a "media center extender" and the two (Vista and Xbox360) were designed around each other (microsoft has an end game goal of a PC in every living room, and that's what the xbox360 is the first step towards).

BTW, did you even try to google it? I started typing "media sharing between" and one of the suggestions was "...ps3 and wmp11". The first result is this: http://boardsus.playstation.com/pla...ge.uid=29329912

You might want to try Media Link from Nullriver. I use their Connect 360 app to stream media from my Mac to my Xbox 360. It's super easy to set up and works great
