Double XP event for CoD4 on 2/27/09

Infinity Ward confirmed that there will be "one last" double XP weekend starting, you guessed it - 2/27/09 and going until 3/2/09.

Along with that, there will be at least one IW moderator on giving out tokens for the map pack the rest of this week leading up to the event. The map pack will also be available for %50 off for both XboX LIVE and PSN users.

Killzone 2 comes out that day as well. I'd suppose Infinity Ward is trying to maintain gamer support for their revolutionary game. Personally, I've never seen such ongoing developer support as in CoD4. Kudos to IW!

map pack as in the one that came out months ago?

While COD4 is an excellent game, most people play COD5 now. Now if they were giving out tokens for that map pack, I'd play 24 hours a day to try and get it.

Yes, it's the map pack for CoD4 that came out a while ago. I still don't have it, so I'm gonna try and get it for free. If I can't, oh well...I suppose I can spare the $5 US while its half-off.

There's still a strong playerbase for Modern Warfare too. Personally, I don't care much for CoD5. I sold it the 1st week I had it. WWII is played out if you ask me.

I'll be on much of the week and likely this weekend. Add me if you'd like a game!

WAW isnt bad.. it just sucks at the beginning when you are stuck with crap guns and all the high levels have guns that sure seem a lot more like cod4 guns than what should be in WAW...

That and the stupid bootcamp thing always matches you with like lvl 50+...

COD4 was a great game.. I do play COD WAW more now, but $5 for the map back and double xp.. I think I shall bust it out with weekend.

the bootcamp thing is because people have figured out how to get in a bootcamp game when you're not supposed to, thus destroying everyone and ranking up very quickly.

Gotcha... Ya I started playing after it was out for a bit and don't play all that much... It's ok.. I still handle the higher level guys ok, the unfair advantage in guns is the worst part.
