Questions on Digital camera care.

I own a decent digital camera and a couple lenses, have yet to get a standard cleaning kit for it, i dont use it much so im not worried about that atm, but i plan to be using the camera a bit during the winter... where i live we have seen winter days as cold as -50.. that was a record tho, our average during winter is -35 to -40. is there any special precautions i should take if i want to use it outside in these zubzero conditions ??

Any camera buffs out there, im gonna upload a few of my fav pictures to photobucket and post links here for constructive criticism... im still learning the capabilities of my camera and how and when to use them.

what does your manual say about the operating temperatures?

says 0 - -40 C so i guess it will work fine if its not too cold for humans then....
