I'd wait for the Microsoft Surface Pro. The two aren't really comparible. You can browse the internet and waste time in apps on a tablet, sure, but when it comes to real computing, you need a real computer. Ultrabooks are nice, but still pretty prohibitively expensive. Overall, presently, I'd vote Notebook.

It really dpends on what you want to do with it.
Frankly, I'd prefer to stick with a full-fledged laptop-- I like having lots of storage and the ability to burn a CD for my daily commute.
Despite my postcount, I don't live on the web; I certainly can't afford a mobile connection, so anything I want to have available to me has to be locally stored, so perhaps that is why I resist cloud-based hardware so much. But there you go.

True. For me, it's just a waste of money. You can't really use it for work. I'd go with laptop.
