if you have 40Gb, why not just get a 40Gb iPod? you shouldn't have even considered the iPod Mini unless you wanted 10 of them to fill your songs with.

I figured out a way to have 2 libraries on your iPod at once, you just set it to manual update and check all the songs you want from either library and upload them to the iPod, unfortunatly you can't then take the songs off the iPod onto your other library or use the auto update or else that will get rid of the other songs.

really? do you have a link? I had to cope with the loss of about 50 songs I somehow lost in the transfer between hard drives so when i updated my iPod they were deleted.
