Help with Philips Gogear HDD1630/17

I just want to start off by saying its not the headphones, Im positive.
I really liked this MP3 player untill this started happening:

As some of you may know the Philips Gogear can play the radio, well yesterday is when the problem started happening. I turned on the radio and everything on the screen went as normal but there was no sound! No radio whatsoever. And how you can save you radio stations to what are called presents. All mine were gone. But I could still listen to all my songs and playlists as normal so I wasnt to worried. But just this morning none of my songs would play either. Not even my recordings! All it does is when you go into the song, the song name scrolls as normal but the seconds dont start counting and theres no sound! Its not paused. Ive tried that soft reset (vol. up and power buttons) but it doesnt change anything. My sister owns a Toyota Scion and it has the Ipod plug in and the cord looked as if it would fit perfectly into my Gogear and I tried it and it preety much fit, like it was a little hard to put in but I got it in. And of course like I guessed it didnt work.

I noticed it not working a while after plugging it into the Ipod cord. Did it break because of it?

Does anyone know how to fix this?
