Boosts data sim speeds...Sony-Ericsson-GC89-EDGE

which i am sure it will work here...i will put in my data sim card in it and set it up...now the question is will my download speed change with this international gadget?Reason i am buying it because my cousin said that he saw a guy using the same pc card in my country and he was getting highspeeds....so i am gonna try it..i hope it will increase my download speeds.let me know what yu think ok.
