I can't remove the barbs to put tape on it now for two reasons. one: I don't have money for more fluid, and the job of keeping the fluid in the system would be a challenge rewuiring help, and draining it myself would be a huge fiasco.
I also coated the outside of the block (where the leak is, around the exposed screw-on portion) with epoxy pipe sealant (the putty kind you knead).
I thought it was going to fic the leak, but it is still leaking. Very very slowly, but still leaking. One drop maybe every 6-12 hours drips off.
Possible solutions include just leaving it and resting a piece of cardboard and cloth on my video card to catch the slow drip of fluid, not using the computer (not a good solution), or going to the hardware store and spending $$$ on more putty sealant.
Any help? |
You could drain the fluid into a pail. Also duct tape works great fro stuff like this.
