SMP collection server now down

At 7pm CDT Wednesday evening

Anyone trying to upload finished Windows SMP work units are gonna meet a server thats down - 171.64.65.64. Its been in down/reject mode since 9am this morning. Its collection server - 171.64.122.86 is being overloaded also.

So, we now have gpu2 and smp server issues for who knows how long.

I guess a few of us will be losing more points from expired smp work, on top of the gpu2 upload woes

I am not convinced all mine are getting through quickly at the moment. I just checked the logs and several only just got the sends through and were delayed trying to send before they gave up and got a new job.

My fahmon shows between 33,000 at the low end to 35,500 at the higher end total ppd (depending on the actual projects and whether I have boosted the process priority on the GPU's). That being the case I understand some days are lower and some are higher as the larger WU's will not complete everyday so there is ups and downs.

But if after several days the average isn't up then one (me) starts to suspect something is wrong.

I do not think fahmon (and I love this product) is able to adjust the ppd estimate based on the non-productive time of a project (connecting, downloading, unpacking, starting, ending, packing, connecting, sending) let alone the drop by the lost time from a job or results server being down or causing even more delays.
