I run the 6.29 drop in binary for SMP2 MPICH console client on XP SP3
My install path is - "C:\Program Files\Folding@Home Windows SMP Client V1.01\Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe" -smp 4
On setup of the client, I make sure to set the 2 flags shown below
-smp 4 - so the client knows I have a quad core processor
-verbosity 9 - so I don't get the extended loop errors
That's all I do and I've never had a problem running SMP on any dual or quad core machine that I've owned!
Cheers, JX99
