Point fluctuations
I never could find a clear-cut answer to this...

what causes the fluctuatoins in the PPD so much?


I've been averaging just over 3k per day, and then yesterday I pulled out over 5K somehow, and now today I haven't even hit 1k







Just curious

Stanford has reported problems with the stats servers in the past few days. This accounts for fluctuations from update to update.

There is a new SMP client, 6.29. If you just started running that version and have not qualified for the bonus points yet (passkey + 10 A2/A3 units successfully completed on time), you may see a drop in points until you qualify.

These issues are in addition to the normal variance in the mix of work units. With all of my machines running smoothly, I can see 10k PPD variance due to the mix of work units.

I'll have to look into the version of SMP I'm running... I'm not sure off the top of my head...


I need to reinstall Win7 anyway, and I'll be downloading a fresh copy then anyhow, so I know I'll have the most recent then
