Aye, there was planned downtime on the servers for upgrades, however, no downtime was scheduled for the 26th/27th and I'm also having upload/download problems. Just what you need, eh?

Having a problem like this, that I have no control of the outcome, is the main reason I haven't bought any more Nvidia cards to add to our team production.
I've only been folding for 4 months now and server problems on Stanford's end seems to be a weekly episode lately.
They are either a serverely underfunded non profit research group or their team has no idea how to mirror and maintain the servers they have.
I really feel for guys like John Frank and Papa who dove in head first with multiple GPU's and a situation like this is a constant reward they will get, for offering Stanford research for free.
I also get tired of reading Stanford's forum during server problems, where all the admins/moderators always point the finger on problems, directly at the users/volunteers.
Its been making me re-assess how far I want to get into volunteering hardware time and electricity to a research project. The people maintaining the research data, act indifferent to their volunteers most of the time.
I'm probably at my max ppd until years end anyway, but it pisses me off that my individual ppd and the team's ppd, can be held hostage, at will, by Stanford's indifference during problems on their end, toward all the volunteers
Rant over, back to your regularly scheduled program
JX99
P.S. I bet all the work units stuck in my queue end up worth 0 points because they'll expire before Stanford figures out whats wrong - already lost 1 on the Sunday 6am update

So you've noticed that with there Mods/Admins too? As far as I'm concerned they're a bunch of pompous arrogant twats! Thank God I've only got one card, did you ever see the PS3 servers go down? The answer is a big fat NO!

I just lost the last work unit also - I'm shutting down the client until they pull their head out of their own asses.
I also deleted the client and went back to another 5.04 console on my 4th core.
Someone drop me a PM when this mess is over with!
THIS IS PATHETIC!!!

Well - my ppd for this week is gonna be in the crapper
Tried some different configurations last night and lost a 48% completed SMP in the process.
I had continual problems with the nvidia console client, so I went back to the systray client. It got a wu and started like there was nothing wrong! Go figure
