I'm guessing 16 to 32gig main ram might be required though, to run that many clients simultaneously -
Imagine the ppd attainable from 40 SMP clients or a couple of GPU clients and 38 SMP's on 1 rig!!
can't run windows unfortunately, and as for 1tflop, a single 4870 does that, meaning its not that impressive, and stanford can hardly use a 3870 to its full capacity, let alone a 4850/4870/4870x2.
i've the impression that the future of F@H lies in humungous amounts of gpu power, these are far more powerful than cpus n terms of flops atm. and that thing is schedules for in over 5 years.... lol.
