Help!!!!!!! i cant fold

the folding software keeps giving me an error in vista

well i can only give you 1 option.

go make sure you are downloading the vista drivers, or if its onboard/internal shiat go find the proper vista drivers for them.

basically its all about the vista drivers

Graphical i think its causing the problem but i don't know how to use the console

Graphical is the issue.

Read the stickie(s). Console > graphical, period.

create a new folder and download the FAH console to that folder. If you have two CPU cores then create a second folder and paste a copy there. Go to properties of one and add this flag (a space then -local) Start the first up and enter user name and out team. It will ask a lot of mumbo jumbo just answer the questions. When it says change advanced settings say yes. The most important part is the last question. It will aks to set it up as machine 1-8. make sure both are different machines. 1 and 2 for an easy example. After you have done this to both your good.

got it to work but its having problems downloading "fahcore_78.exe"

I have found from the FAH forums that if you are experiencing that problem that clearing all your cookies will clear it up. I use ATF cleaner and it works like a charm every time.

I would assume that the same would apply to Vista.....

console works no problems on vista, mine works atleast.

but your ppd will drop if you run on vista. why? well, if you have an audio playing in the background, audiodg process will jump to a high cpu usage, there is no hardware audio acceleration on vista apprt from the x-fi series which also have quite a big limitation.

in any case, i find that alot of processes use quite a bit of cpu on vista....
