Has anyone else experienced this?
When closing down cores correctly, 9 times out of 10, the second core to be shut down always re-starts with MISSING_WORK_FILES. This causes the work unit to terminate and re-start? Bloody annoying if the damn things near 80 pc done!

If your talking SMP's then yes just happened to me yesturday.

But I'm balming mine on the weather...with storms off and on daily...We've been getting surges....Power doesn't totaly go out but everything dims biggtime....lost an SMP about 6 o'clock at 84% done(that was on my 4400+...my other SMP on my E3110 didn't dump)
When I looked at the log I got that same message MISSING_WORK_FILES and what not
....Mother Nature's a Fickled HO!!!

P.S One thing I don't like about these SMP's is you need a password...If I restart nothing get done till I logon to Destop

Yeah, password is unfortunately part of the set up. It only seems to be when I shut down the second core, almost like it's lost it's way once the first core is shut down. I wonder if this is a symptom of the affinity changer?

Remember on my E3110 I'm only using 1 core for the SMP

Thats why I'm buying another 8800GT ($129 + tax & Shipping)so I can fold on the Downstairs Comp without having to worry about restarting
