Getting frustrated with Stanford IT
I thought I'd let you all know of my frustration with Stanford IT.
For the past 8 weeks straight, server @ IP 171.64.122.174 won't accept any work units it issues and its collection stays bogged down with 200+ network connections. When this happens, work units get stuck in client queues until they expire. I've lost over 40 - 5229 and 5230 work units off this server alone in the last 2 months.
Enough us enough!!!!!!!
So, I'm taking measures into my own hands with the price of electricity now. Any work units I catch from this server get DELETED off my systems!!
If Stanford can turn a blind eye to a severe server problem, I'll do my part to delete the work I receive from this
server!!
I'd advise everyone else to do the same, unless you like watching work expire for 0 points!!
