DevFolding Losing Ground!
Hi everyone,
Just wanting to spread the Folding Message. DevFolding is losing ground in the Folding rankings, and we are at risk for being kicked out of the top 100 teams! If anyone can find some PCs (or PS2s) to throw at those proteins, now is the time to get involved! There is a new Folding client (v7), which makes the setup process much easier than in the past, and if you fold for DevFolding you can get cool icons next to your name like I have :P
To get started, just download the v7 client from https://fah-web.stanford.edu/projec...iki/BetaRelease and put in your forum name and forum number when the installer asks you. The DevFolding team number is 12912 (and hopefully you know your own forum name )
Good luck and happy folding!
P.S. - To see DevFolding's stats and ranking, just go to: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.....php?s=&t=12912

I have had a couple computers folding off and on for about 10 days. I am backing off running both my main computers 24/7 because of the strain it is on them. I did make it to number 69 on the DevHardware list.
Without more folders it may be hard to stay in the top 100. A few days ago DevHardware was at 93 in the list. Now DevHardware has dropped back to 95.

Yeah we really need some heavy hitters to get back in the game. Once I start my new fancy job I might be able to convince the old lady to let me build a dual Opty server. That would pull in about 200k PPD for the team, and at least keep us afloat I think!

We are still losing ground
Of course this is only an estimate based on current folding rates. In any event we will probably drop out of the top 100 by the end of the year.

Seems there are plenty of people in teams out there folding with much better hardware than we have.

Based on our team daily average we are ranking around 280th place. We are currently at 106th place.
There are a lot of teams with much higher daily output so we will probably continue to slide until we get to a ranking closer to our daily average.

I checked checked the team stats and did a quick check.
On current points we are floating around 150th - 200th place in team daily output.
If the power of the dev hardwave folding team came back and we were able to average 1,000ppd (not hard to do on current PC's and GPU cards) across our folding members (around 630) we would be folding in around 60th place!
Wouldn't that be a great contribution to folding Well one can dream...
