Back to folding a bit
I figured I'd fold some again since its somewhat winter here in Texas again. I'm still on same 4 year old EVGA 780i SLI setup but have moved up to Win7 64 bit. I setup 1 SMP to go along with 2 GPU console clients for my now oldish 260GTX's. SMP setup was simple, dual GPU console clients was a new thing since extending the desktop is no longer required.
All 3 clients seem to be humming along just fine. I have to watch the temps on the GPU's with Rivatuner. As long as they stay under my 80c threshold, I'll help out the team as long as I can.
Hope everyone is well and had a good holiday season!

Well, I am having trouble with the ambient temps reaching about 70f this week - so I'm having to throttle everything to stave off overheating/shutdown issues. Its a damn shame I can't go full bore when its "supposed" to be winter time!!
Cheers to Memphist0, Kicken, Fuhzy_Wuzzie, Sal_Rongo, & Rauxxs for keeping us in the mix after it looks like Klathor has taken a break.
I haven't forgot about Shadow_Wizard, Debasidas, Itsacon, Fishtoprecords, or Snod_Blatter. You folks dedication is whats keeping this team barely alive!!

I've had to shut down again, because ambient temps @ 70F won't cut it. I tried again today for 10mins and GPU core temps were right at 95C. So, I'm out of folding until we here, get some winter or until Nvidia's Kepler GPu's arrive!!

See if ya can download EVGA precision for OC'ing that 570.
I personally use Rivatuner to max the GPU fans out to 100%, but use EVGA precision to OC the shaders, while leaving the core and memory at stock settings.
I bet you see some healthy upward numbers with this info!!

Jammer
I use the ASUS utility, gives me the option to tweak voltages as I have a CU II.
I just added a passkey to my two clients, so I'm hoping the bonuses will add some PPD. We'll see, I'll keep looking into other tweaks I can do.

Hey bball
What drivers are you using ?
R U running stock settings ?
I've been looking around the net, and peeps are avg 15000-16800 ppd...with their GTX 570's
When I tried folding for a bit with my 460 I was using the BF 3 optimized drivers and kicked the shadders up a 100mhz and was getting approx 13000 ppd
P.S have you tried super-pi with that 2600...I OCed my 2500k just to 4.2 and got
1M = 0m 8.980s
32M = 8m 22.915s

I am running the latest (as far as I know) drivers - 285.62
I was at stock (742/3800) and am at 800/4000 right now.
No I haven't really messed around with super-pi much. My 2600k is just running at 4ghz, I haven't had much time or need to overclock so I've just been enjoying it's raw stock speed.

Sup kids!
bball, long time no chat.
A 2600K at 4GHz and a 570 should be getting you way more points than that (~20-22K PPD methinks). Are you running the new v7 client? It auto-configures everything for you, and it should set your system to SMP:8 and GPU:1. Giving you more points will make me more jealous, but it will help the team. I was gonna catch you dang it!

As far as Klathor and Azure, what are they up to and why aren't they folding anymore??

Hey Fuhzy.
I will definitely try V7. I'm glad I started folding again when I did... you almost passed me.
No idea what happened to our top two folders.
Edit : Ok V7 is up and running... that was easy...
All of the settings are default, it has ID 00 as my GPU, but it says GPU:O:GF110
Then ID 01 is SMP 8
Is there anything I need to change?

Glad it worked out, bball. If anyone else wants some advice related to F@H, I have done quite a bit of research about it, so just throw me a question! I will subscribe to this thread so I should get an email whenever someone replies here.

Take care and FOLD 4 EVER!
Yeah me too... now I don't have to worry about you passing me...
I had a 43k point day the other day, then had some computer issues, but it's back up and running at full throttle again today. 15k point update. Woohoo!

I am still here and am hoping I can afford to do some more folding this coming winter. Might need to look at what sort of folding performance we can get out of our units as they have not changed, maybe its time to look at some upgrades.
Currently in Berlin for the Berlinale film festival with a short we have in competition called KISS to get a glimpse of winter before we head back home next week.
