Am I folding right?
So here are my beginner questions.
I'm running the graphical version and it's taking 30 minutes per frame... does that seem too long. So after 30 minutes went by 1/5000 frames were complete seemed a bit long. I then loaded the console version, I wanted try and configure it because I wasn't sure if my user info was in it. I added -config to a shortcut and I ran the shortcut then I get this error. "please not the above recognized flags and try again." And above that is a list of all the commands I assume. So I turned off the console and ran the graphic again and now it says 50/5000 frames completed. Did the console run that fast or am I missing something? It also says the WU won't end till June 7th Seems like a bit long. I know my comp is old but not that old. Anyway, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I also haven't found my folding number to post here, but I assume it takes a bit for that to generate.

Well, I got the config to work in not sure what was going wrong. I'm assuming it takes some time for a WU to actually finish. Several days??? Then once that's done I should be able to get my folding number. Someone else mentioned you can't get that until you complete 1 WU.

You don't get a folding number until you submit your first WU.
How long a WU takes depends on the WU (there are multiple types and sizes) and the hardware it's running on. What are your machine's specs? Grab FahMon to get an idea of how long your WU will take, and a points-per-day (ppd) estimate. The time you saw, June 7th - that is only the deadline time, not the time it thinks it will be done.
In a lot of ways I find the command-line version better for my tastes. Someplace on Stanford's page there is a listing of the switches; for config I use -configonly.
