well I think there is issues with my wifes laptop 3DMark05 WNR and the complete PCMark04 WNR the video sections. Maybe due to the video which is an Intel 915. Also the SuperPI looked to be rather slow at 1M it took 46sec w/o FAH and 47sec w/FAH.
The word Doc are PCMark04 using all CPU RAM and HDD tests minimal differences.
Sucks that I have never BM this laptop before...I will have a full blown benchmark comparison when my Core Duo 2 is up in a few weeks....

The most important is that 3dMark and Sandra's Arithmetical benchmarks. Why? Because most of the people don't fold because they think that folding reduces gaming performance, and so on.
SuperPI is nice, but it is VERY sensitive. SuperPI is one of the most (if not the most?) sensitive benchmarking application, it's really relying on other background applications, even if they aren't working. And even if you close everything the 1MB score and will fluctuate, so it's relative.
The REAL importance is not on SuperPI1MB. It's on 3dMark01SE (or newer) and of course SiSoft Sandra arithmetical benchmarks.
@Justin: well done.
@MuTTAR: so.. the 3dMark score was unnoticable... just at my rig.

Damn it, I cant understand it. PCMark 02 and 3DMarks 01SE both bomb when benching with FAH running. Both show the same error as "Display Lost Focus". Whats that all about?

Yeah, as madhyena alluded to, if you're using the graphical client it's still rendering the visuals even if it's minimized (or so I've been told in the past) so it could screw with performance and focus of other apps.

Use the console version, mate.
It's also slightly (if not really) faster, so it should improve your ppd. There are stickies, about how to install the Console version, just download the newest client (5.04b), run it, enter your data, and set is as a service, you don't have any more problems with it. To stop you'll just need to stop the service.

If you have the graphical version already and you download the console version, then it sets up the console version for you automatically. Like on my comp I have both, the graphical pops up when I boot, and then I exit that and go to the console version.

Right then, I'll give that a try. Cheers guys
Well, thats that done although I'm not gonna stop the GUI version just now as it's midway through a 600 pointer. Once finished it's the console version for me. I'll have to put this on all my machines after this.

I believe we can split and sticky this thread. It should serve as an awesome guide for whoever googles. Sorry I cannot join the project, but nevertheless I will do all in my capacity to promote to those who can.
