Do you have the latest BIOS? I know that B3 wasn't that great of a clocker and the 680i chipset had horrible OC results until new BIOS.

Are you running your ram linked or unlinked? Even if you are running unlinked you might want to think about loosing up those timings as when you set the FSB even though you have your ram set to 800MHz it will be set to a divider that may increase the MHz just enough to throw everything out of whack. Best thing to always do is find out where you what your CPU can do w/o interference from other variables such as your ram holding you back b/c of your timings.
As for the B3 stepping You should really consider starting out with at least 1.4v before you start scaling. You will also want to disable any power saving features in your BIOS that can also hinder your OC. What cooling are you using? Last edited by Brian y. : January 10th, 2008 at 01:53 PM. |
