Whats ur mobo, I'm guessing ur mobo probably sucks, I don't know how the 2000+'s overclock but you should get more out of it than that. You'll need to up the voltage to get anymore out of it too, and do you know if it's a thoroughbred A or B?

It doesn't depend on the board only, but with your board you can easily overclock your processor. But think of PCI and AGP bus speeds! I think because of them you cannot go higher. Try to unlock your processor and raise the FSB to 166 MHZ

Noway man!

You have to connect L1 bridges!

If you do not want to take any risk then do not overclock your CPU!

I have unlocked mine with silver paint! Till now I had no trouble with it!

I've reached 1925 mhz (original 1600 Mhz)! of course with water cooling and volt modding )

WTF Turk do you know what unlocking does??

You can raise your FSB to 166 or 200 or 2 000 000 with a locked chip. Locked chips only mean you can't change the multiplier, boo hoo. Most people only unlock their chips so thay can LOWER the multiplier, to achive higher FSB speeds.

Yeah I know what unlocking is! But you are so stupid to not understand that you cannot go higher FSBs (even 166MHz for palamino) without unlocking it (or without decrasing the multiplier). Prove me that without unlocking a palamino you can reach 166 MHZ FSB!!! (By the way, no way for the 2.000.000 MHZ ) dude..)

The only way to go higher is to increase FSB and lower the multiplier. I was telling him that but did not need to explain him why to unlock, thinking that he was not a child like you!!! And I think he could think to decrase the multiplier!!!

Do I have to explain everything in details that's been known with every overclocker!!! Even the entry level ones!!!

Are you fucking blind? He has a Palomino chip = 133FSB. If he can only get to 1688Mhz that means his limit is a measly 135Mhz! Help him get past 135 FSB before you try to help him get past 166.

Turk you have to learn to stop spewing your mouth to what you are oblivious to.

Haha Turk goto the Flame forum. There's a whole thread dedicated to n00bs like you. You might be trying to help him but you're definatly not helping by giving him incorrect information. Is it my business? Sure it is! He asked on a public forum, asking for help from everyone, not just ignorant n00bs like yourself.

Lol and I know nothing eh Turk? Well I'm pretty sure a diploma in Computer Networks Engineering as well an A+ certification shows that I have some knowledge about computers. Also I have 4 years of IT and hardware experence, 1 of those being self employed. I think my credentials are pretty solid.

Lol and you call me a fucking Canadian. Have you ever even been to a 1st world country?
