Intel CPU OC gone bad, Detailed info/ LFhelp!!

Well now you get the short version of orignal post considering that when i tried to use one of the smiley face icons, it erased my enter post for some reason. WTF?? any way. here is my comps specs

SpecZZ: EVGA 680i SLI MB
Intel core DUO 2.66ghz 1333, x8 multiplier
2x 8800 GT 512's in SLI
4x 1gb sticks of Platuim OCZ 4-4-4 timings memory
X-fi fatality addition sound card
300 Gb 7,200 wd sata 2 oem (running Vista)
2x 70GB 10,000rpm raided hardrives for games only
Antec turepower 650 w/PSU Nvidia SLI certified
Dell 32" LCD

Okay, I OC'd the the processor, this is my first Intel based system in 3-4 years. So this was a bit different. First I download a program to tell me my CPU specs and find out if it was OCable.
I have the revision GO addition which mneans it runs cooler at higher clock speeds. The multiplier was still lock since it's not AMD black additon, FX or intel extreme addtion. I had two choices for the Multiplier, x6 or x8 I kept it at x8. I then unlinked my memory from the Bios and bumped the FSB at 20 intrevals. I started at 1,333 and got 1,543 in the end. Doing the math, the new speed should have been 3.03 as apposed to 2.66 original. It booted fine. I then ran stress test of Prime95 torture test for 3 hours. i then played TF2 (HL2 engine) for about 5 hours. I then let it run futemark CPU test and they all worked fine. The only thing i did notice was that on windows the program boxs ghosted alot, like artifacting. I then left on till today. I istalled neverwinter nights 2 idk why, that game sucks but i wanted to play you know?? I ran it for about 20 min and then computor just stopped. didn't turn off just froze. I rebooted and couldn't get to Bios. It turns on, fans spin for .5 sec then stops, light on mobo are on but nothing is running,

This is what i have tried so far:
1. Unplugged for 10 sec, then plugg back into power strip

2. reset Cmos, both with 1.2 pin moving to 2.3 pin (10 sec intervals between moves. I also tried that when i actually popped the cell battery out and replaced it exactly the way it came out

3. removed the X-fi card since I've had that problem before running that card.

4. reseat my memory sticks, same slots same order.

5. removed all memory GPU cards and the sticks

6. ran core components MOBO, 1 stick, PSU, CPU

SAME results, things want to turn on, all fans start to spin then shut off. light s on the mobo on.

I'm thinking 2 things here, 1 PSU is dead casue voltage went from 1.11 to 1.40 during OC. or 2 CPU is melted to the mother board becasue I am retarded and was trying to use the OEM fan that came with it, hoping my awsome cases cooling fans would keep it cool? 1 more thing, the PSU is about 2.5 years old and It's done this before but I have gotten it work by putting it on another computer an then switching it back

plz help!!!!!

My money would be on the PSU going down. Nowadays a lot of boards have thermal cut off's just in case things get too hot.

Sounds like you may have cooked the northbridge chip and maybe the bios chip too, but the PSU could be the culprit as Python suggests.

My 780i has a fan that blows on northbridge at all times just as an attempt to keep it from cooking itself. I haven't OC'ed my mobo yet as temperatures here in Texas in late summer/early fall are just still too high for any decent OC
