Easy guide to OC MSI P6N Diamond MB & Q6600
I hopeing someone can help me with the easiest/simplist way to OC a new MB. Its an MSI P6N Diamond MB (680i) with a q6600 CPU and 2x2 gig Ascent DDR2 4-4-4-12 XP2-6400.
My goal is just to try and get it to 3Ghz. As for the memory, according to Mushkin they said the following about the memory-
"This kit will overclock beyond 800Mhz cas 5 . Running 333FSB 1:1 with memory running linked memory mode and at 667Mhz, your board will normally perform better then 1066Mhz cas 5 unlinked.
The 800Mhz kit will allow you to overclock the fsb upto 400Mhz, while keeping these very tight 4-4-4-12 timings, which will perform amazing"
The entire system is:
Just a stock fan but my sysem has pretty good airflow.
Coolermaste stacker tower with 1 Intake 2 outtake and a crossflow fan
Enermax infinity 650W PSU which also sucks heat out
MSI P6N Diamond MB
Q6600 Intel Quad Core
4 gigs of Accent memory 2x2Gig
2 Barracuda SATA2 Drives (750 gig & 1 T)
Powercolor 3780x2 vid card
Hauppauge DVR-1800 TV card
Sincere thx for any help or advice
