Unhappy ViewSonic N3252w LCD TV, not working properly, why?

I bought this monitor about 2 years ago. I was so excited when I got it. I quickly took it out of the box plugged the VGA cord into my monitor and vuala: a column of pixels about 3/4's to the right was stretched all the way to the right end. I figured it had to have been something to do with the refresh rate being to high, so I played around with it for hours and hours, and eventually it started working. I cant remember what I did. Now I can't seem to get it working again. I'm using a GeForce 7600 GS, if anyone could advise me as to how to set this thing up it would be greatly appreciated.
