TV card dmaging my monitors

i am using a LCD monitor PHILIPS 15" 150E.
in 15th april i bought a external tv card

AVER MEDIA BOX 7(PIP)

after install it was running well for 5 days. then my monitor
well run with tv card. but when i turned on my pc then it starts blinking.sometime stable then again blinking.

then i sent my LCD to service centre and they told me that the main board of monitor has been damaged. and they cost me $54 to repair. in the mean time in my house i installed my old CRT monitor as well as tv card. on the 3rd they my CRT MONITOR started to blink in same manner with pc.

after that i sent my tv card to service centre as it has warranty. but they told me tv card should never damage monitor. and they fece no problem with that.

actully the disturb monitors running well with tv card. but disturbing with only pc. and the problem starts after installation of tv card. i repaired my LCD and it is running well with my pc. and no disturb at all.

what should i do now? and i am not courageous enough to install the tv card again to my pc to loss again my monitor.

any suggetion?

What resolution did you set for your video output? If you set it to something your monitor is not capable of that could easily damage your monitor.

For example a 15" LCD monitor usually requires to be set at 1024x768 @60Hz. It might be capable of some lower resolutions (read the docs) but anything higher will damage it.

The same for your CRT monitor. You have to be careful with your settings or your could damage it also.
