Triple monitor setup
Hi guys. Currently I have one nvidia GTX 260 with one 24" monitor. I am planning to get two more 24" so I can do surround games. What is the best method? I heard triplehead 2 go works well. Anybody is using triplehead 2 go? But it's expensive.... Please help me out. And do you think LED or LCD is better for surround games? I was thinking about getting 2 more LCDs cuz some LED monitor is hard to see from angle... Well please help me out. Thx.

I would just assume SLI another 260 to get your 3rd port (and 4th if you ever want to go quad monitors for whatever reason), plus a little boost in GFX power
plus, another 260 would probably cost less that one of those 24" monitors, lol

ahhh icic. Thank you for the info. Another GTX260 would cost me only $200ish... That would be better than getting $300 triplehead 2 go. So, if I have two same video card, I can play surround games? Do I need to download certain software to configure the resolution? like 5760x1080? Or windows automatically do that for me? I am using win 7 ultimate 64bit btw.

I know the output can be divided among video cards no problem; I've ran dual monitors before, one off on board video, and the other off an AGP nVidia card, but that was a long time ago
you can set Windows up to display however you want on them, weather it be cloning the desktop on each or stretching the desktop across all three, and normally you can set the game up in-game to span across all 3 monitors.
if the game doesn't have that option, then yeah you'll probably have to use some 3rd party software to do it. but I couldn't begin to recommend any software, as I've never tried myself

For the most stunning and immersive way to experience your games, Triplehead 2 go is a must. This provides a unique and easy way to add multi-display capability to your system. Just simply connect to the external monitor connector of your computer.
