Question on 30 inch with Pixel Jittering

I bought a 30 inch HP LP3065 and I have noticed that in the shaded or Grey areas withing an open window or program I can see the pixes moving around. I have tried to tweak the brightness and the contrast which will help in one area but then just create it in another. I am looking for info and or suggestions on what I should do. I could ask HP to send me out another monitor which would be refurbished.. not very happy about that or just keep trying solutions. I have it connected to a ATI 5850 and the original cable that came with the monitor (dual link). I hooked up a DELL monitor that looked great and I did not see any pixels moving but then again it can only display a max res of 12 something by something... whatever a 19 inch can... nothing close to the 2560x1600 in the 30... Any advice on the best way to go about this would be deeply appreciated.
