Red Lines Problem with new Samsung 275T Plus

Hi all,

I recently bought this monitor brand new, but had to have it shipped to me. The box came to me is okay condition, but not great.
I hooked the monitor up and it seemed to work fine, but then within a few minutes I was having an issue on the black parts of the screen. Wherever there was a black area I had these horizontal red lines flickering on and off. It happened in every application where there was black space; on videos, firefox, etc. When I switched inputs I noticed that the composite video input was filled with these red lines, i guess because the whole screen was black. But I had nothing plugged in to that input.
I fixed the problem but rebooting, and it seemed to go away.
However not 10 minutes later it started doing the exact same thing. If I looked at a thumbnail of a video, or picture, or website with black in it i'd see these lines again. This time I just turned the monitor off and on again and the problem disappeared.
Since then I've used the monitor for about 5 hours and haven't seen the again. I don't want to return it and end up with a monitor with a dead pixel for a problem I'll never see again, but I also feel like since it's an expensive monitor I should just get a brand new one while a can (not shipped).
Anybody have any ideas on what this could be? and what should I do!!!??

I appreciate any help guys (and ladies).

Use the monitor as much as you can for a few days to see if problem reappears, if it does RMA it.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to do last night. I was almost hoping it would reappear. Even if it doesn't I feel almost compelled to return the thing. Maybe I'm just being too paranoid...
