Need a new LED/27" computer monitor for gaming.
PREFERENCES/MUST HAVE'S
Canada shipping
400$ budget
Gaming
Low ms
60-120+ HZ?
27"
LED
1080p
2560x1440
Compatible w/ HD 7870 Radeon
At this point Ive been searching high and low for a new monitor that fits these specs and Ive found 2 that are great but I would like some advice/matches before I go ahead and purchase.
The first one I found which I would love to have but I dont have enough background on it is the YAMAKASI CATLEAP Q270 SE (Only reason im edgy about buying it is that Im not sure is its 1080p, it says DVI-dual link so its not HDMI? and also I seen a chart where my graphic card wasnt campatiable with it).
Second is the ASUS VE278Q
(This was my second option. Only reason im held back on this one is because its only a 1920x1080 resolution and I feel as if it might be ok on a 24", but not a 27". Also unsure if my graphics card is compatible with it).
Would greatly appreciate the help guys, if you need to know anything else about my computer/preferneces feel free to ask.
I would love to have this ordered by tomorrow.

Your 7870 should have a Dual link DVI-D connector on it and support the resolution of either monitor.
As for the monitors that 27" is very tempting but you need to be careful as there are several minor variations of these floating around. Some are reported to have dead pixels, euro power leads, flimsy stand, slight edge bleading and lower max refresh rate. It also does not have onboard scaling to it is up to your graphics card to do. The higher resolution is tempting compared to the 1920x1080 display.
This is a chance you will need to choose whether you take.

Do you have any recommendations for me John?
Around the specs I am looking for.
Im scared to purchase this one now, its off of ebay and it even talks about dead pixels/bleeding on edge so "buyer beware".

It seems the price range for a hi-res 27" is around $700 - $800 for any brand name, any lower than that and they are either an unknown brand or 1920x1080 max resolution. Cheapest brand name I could find that I would trust was a viewsonic.
Anyway do a little google shopping, maybe there are some discount coupons you can find to work out a good deal. Post the details if you want some feedback on what you find.
