Multiple Monitor Setup Help

Sorry for the stupid question but what hardware is necessary? I currently own 2 Samsung monitors (Samsung BX2031 20" LED LCD Monitor - 1600x900, 16:9, 1000:1, 5ms, VGA, DVI, Tilt) and would like to run both off of my laptop. There's obviously only one space on my Mac to plug in to the monitor, so I assume some sort of splitter, cable, conversion box, etc is necessary to run multiple monitors from my laptop. Thank you!

Windows XP makes it possible for you to increase your productivity by using multiple monitors to expand the size of your desktop. With the use of up to ten individual monitors connected to a single computer, you can create a desktop that is large enough to hold numerous programs or windows.
