Monitor seems not to receive data on start up

Hi Everybody,

My monitor seems to have a problem. When i start up my pc, the monitor start up together (of course!), but seconds later it seems to stop receiving data from the pc. In order to make it "alive" again i have to turn it off and then turn it on pressing the on/off button.

my monitor is a samsung syncmaster 931c

my configs

Win xp
intel core 2 duo
video card evga vga 430 gt 128 bits 1gb ram ddr 3
3.5 gb ram
hd seagate 250 gb

i have changed my video card recently but it seems to be working all right.

what could be happening?

Try starting in safe mode (F8 before boot) See if it happens in safe mode as well. If not uninstall and reinstall you drivers.
