Huge ghosting problem - Samsung SM 2232BW

Hello there, new to the forum, I hope you can help me out and I'll do my best on this forum to help out other people aswell who need advice on other issues.

A few days ago I bought the Samsung SM 2232BW LCD monitor. It has a nice 2ms response time, and a 1680x1050 rez w/ 60 hz. On lower resolutions it has a refresh rate up to 75 hz. What I've noticed immediately after I've plugged it in is that It's got alot of ghosting. In Windows, just browsing thru the web, and especially in games this ghosting is very noticable.

I'm using the DVI connection, that came out of the box. I've made a second partition, installed windows all over again, tried all sets of drivers for my gpu, theres only 1 driver for the monitor which I'm using, but the ghosting problem still persists. I wouldn't mind if it was just a little ghosting, but It's just impossible to play a FPS game, or any other game for that matter with all that blurr. Even browsing the web can be a pain.

Now I've talked to a few friends and most of them say it might be that my graphic card is either too slow or probably buggy or something. Before the LCD I had a 17" CRT, I played games at 1024x768 rez and everything seemed to work fine. So I don't really understand how the graphics card could all of a sudden become too slow and cause these blurry effects in games, I'm using the same settings and resolution as I've used before. I'm using the DVI connection (I had a DVI2VGA connector for the old CRT monitor as my GPU doesn't have a VGA output on its own). V-sync on or off, the effect is the same, also capping the framerate on some games doesn't help either. I've tried the Analog cable, that doesn't change anything, so that means the DVI cable is probably allright and not the cause of the problem.

Now I could either try to get a used graphics card from someone, just to test if it is really my gpu thats cousing the problem, but if that ain't it, is it possible that the monitor itself has some sort of manufacturing error or something? Now I've read alot of reviews, each one of them says the 2232bw doesn't cause Any ghosting at all, and most forums I visited have a similar opinion about lcd's below 10ms, the ghosting shouldnt be visible.

I would like to hear your opinion on this. Got any similar experiences? Please do share! Thank you

My specs:
-----------------------
AMD Athlon x2 5600+
3 x 1GB DDR2 Memmory
Ati Radeon x1650 GPU w/ 256DDR
Samsung SM 2232BW
Aureon 7.1 Soundcard

Using WinXP w/ SP2
-----------------------

Edit: I'll try to get a snapshot with my camera to illustrate you just how visible this is, and if it's normal to see that ammount of ghosting (I'm pretty sure it aint, even tho I've never used an LCD monitor before)

UPDATE:

We'll I've taken my monitor to a friend of mine today, just to test out if the problem really is in the monitor. Turns out, it works flawlessy, I don't see any ghosting at all, the picture is perfect even with high-speed movement in games, and browsing is also ghost-free.

His specs are like 3 times worse then mine, so it's not a speed issue, my gfx is a generation newer than his, but I think my graphics card might have some kind of bug to it. Updating the drivers doesn't work, just as I've allready said in the first post. The only thing left for me to do is buy a new GPU. I'm quite shocked that a graphics card itself can cause all this ghosting, it doesn't make any sense.

If you have a similar problem like me it's better to go check with another GPU or another computer alltogether before trying to run down to the shop and ask for a refund. This monitor works amazing, I just have a buggy GPU, and I gotta replace it a.s.a.p.

UPDATE:

I've just realized my graphic card may be too demanding from my PSU. I've read somewhere that the x1650 series requires at least 18 Amps on the 12V Rails, and I'm reading the manual from my PSU and the 12V Rails have 14 and 15 Amps Each. Now, I can't use both of them as I've got only 1 place on the motherboard for the 12V PCI-E connection. Can this really be a voltage problem?

Speaking of which, I had audio problems since ever I bought this new computer which was about a year ago. I experience alot of BSOD's when using audio sequencing programs etc, and in some games like UT3, my system just crashes with the BSOD.

Now, It doesn't make much sense that my friend who has a generation older GFX card can use this monitor without problems, no ghosting occurs, and on my system theres plenty of it. On the CRT I didn't have issues with ghosting, altho I did have issues with the BSOD's.

Any replies, please?

EDIT:

The BSOD's were there ever since I bought the new pc. So a damaged graphic card or audio card is out of the question, as the audio card was allready used in the system before, and the graphic card was just bought new, altho yeah it may be that the gfx was bugged all along, but something tells me the PSU is the problem.
