Help my laptop. :(
Bought my laptop Dec last year. Just this summer, it's got a large sort of pixelized black thing on the screen. I think it's the lcd or something. Any advice?

If it's still under warranty, I'd take everything off of it and take it back for a new one. Does it look like the LCD is broken or is it just that some of the pixels are stuck black?

Sorry for the late reply, been hella busy.
anyway, yeah it's just that sorta black pixels, it's not broken. I haven't had the chance to let them see it yet. This weekend might be the perfect time. It's almost one year, hope the warranty is still valid.

Has it changed at all since it started?
Black area (if not vertical or horizontal) is usually caused by contamination in the LCD or by it being severely bunped.

You can get replacement displays. Try searching for something like "samsung r540 display". You will be able to find a replacement display panel.
If you are not technical enough to be able to change the display without breaking it (or have a friend that can change it for free) then you will need to take it to a computer service centre. At that point they can quote you to replace the panel. Their labour for repair and sourcing together with panel cost may unfortunately make it uneconomical to repair compared to a new machine these days.
