Extend monitors problem

Hi Guys,

I want to explain my situation maybe i get some help because this issue has been frustrating. I currently am trying to connect two monitors to my laptop in order to have 3 monitors extended (laptop monitor included) My setup was from hdmi or dvi to dp, and vga to vga. #

However only 2 monitors would be extended this way. After I read a post here, I realized that i needed a direct cable from display port to display for channel reasons. When I tried this at work all 3 monitors were successfully extended. But when I returned home I noticed that neither of my monitors had a display port, only hdmi, dvi or vga. How can I go around this please?

Any help much appreciated

According to HP specs your model has Display Port 1.2 and VGA connectors only (no HDMI).
So you will need a display port to DVI adapter cable (or display port to DVI adapter and DVI to DVI cable) to connect the first monitor and a VGA to VGA cable for the second monitor.
