Text is funky at 1280x768

The text definition in this resolution is funky, not just in games but windows too. Anybody know how to fix this? If anybody needs a screenshot I can do that.

At 1440x900 the text seems fine enough.

This is the monitor I have:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...d=1201913867265

P.S. The monitor drivers in Vista say LG W1952(Analog)... Is analog right? Should it not be Digital?

I have a VGA cable with an adaptor to plug into the DVI slot on my video card.

Don't know if this will work but it has for a few people I know

Right-Click your Destop...Go to Properties...Click Appearance Tab...Effects... Go to "Use the following method to smooth screen fonts.on the dropdown menu go from Standard to Clear Type...Click OK see if that helps

the reason is simple.

1280x768 is not the same aspect ratio as 1440x900. you want to set it to 1280x800

if you do 1280/768, you get 1.6666666666, if you do 1440/900 you get 1.6, if you do 1280/800 you get 1.6 as well. thus at 1280x800 it would just "blow up" the image, rather than tryign to stretch it across the panel.

DVI has the ability to carry VGA and digital signal thus when you plug a VGA cable into the adapter it just takes the VGA signal and not the digital. Thats why it reads it as analog. Hope that helps!
