Benq Annoying Blue Popup

Hi everyone,
I just bought a new monitor, I got away from Samsung, my favorite brand for a Benq 27 inches LED monitor, the EW2730.

The problem is, anytime my monitor switch from the native resolution to a non native one I get a popup, from the monitor, a blue square right in the middle of the screen saying : "Suggested Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080"

Does anyone knows how to turn this popup off so that is doesn't appear anymore? I find this issue anoying enough to get rid of the monitor and switch back to an other brand without looking at Benq ever again .

Thanks for your time and support and please, anyone, a solution to this problem.

Regards,

Ok for anyone looking for a solution, here is what I found.

First, I've contacted Benq to learn that this behavior is embeded in the monitor's firmware, there is no option in the OSD to disable it neither.

What you need to do is go into your video card's setting and let the Graphic interface take care of the scalling, not the display device. This way, your monitor is always feeded with the native resolution and your video card takes care of scalling the non native images.

Problem solved.

Special thanks {--M--}.
