Why wouldn't you just buy 2 monitors and not some fancy dual-monitor kit?

I personally love having 2 monitors. It's really difficult when I'm forced to use only one. Even a large monitor is different (read:inferior) in my mind than having 2 monitors. Your productivity will go way up with 2 monitors. Most video cards now-a-days have dual DVI out or 1 VGA 1 DVI, or 1 HDMI 1 DVI, etc.

I have a 22" LCD and a 17" CRT hooked up and it's great. Using a 8800GT to power it. I do see some decreased performance in games, i presume because it's also drawing the other screen all the time.
