3D monitor advice

I just want some advice before i spend my money (attempting) to sorting out 3D for my PC. I have a Saphhire Raedon HD 5770 1GB GFX card (Which has 3D settings in the setup) If i get a 3d monitor what else do i need for 3D to work? Will normal 3D glasses work, or do i need something like the GeForce ones? I have links for the GFX Card, the monitor im looking at and the GeForce glasses so if you wanna have a look just PM me as i cant post links
