2 Monitor questions

1. I have a MAG 2200W monitor for about 3-4 years. It served my sister for 2 until she got a laptop and then it served me from summer 09 to this day. Now before getting a new monitor tomorrow, I have to find out: What is my monitor's native resolution! My PC says 1680X1050, my PS3 connected via DVI says 1920X1080. My graphics card is Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT. Could someone help me out?
Searches on the interwebs have showed me that the native is 1680X1050 but even the configuration menu of the screen when the screen is on the PS3 is showing 1920X1080

2. Is this screen/monitor good for gaming? Or will I truly suffer with my PS3 on this monitor? Samsung XL2370HD. (Can't post URL's)
I need a monitor at 2X" with a built in TV tuner.

1. Generally, the highest resolution is native for monitor.
2. It should work well.

Thanks though a little to late, I got the monitor about a day after I posted this thread. And yes it looks beautiful on the my PS3 after a few tweaks on both the screen and the Playstation. If anyone wants to know just ask
