Great review. I have the t-mobile comet (got it for free with the 2 year agreement the article mentioned), and I must say its a pretty good little phone.
The article touches on the fact that the phone can sync up with Outlook and etc., but it doesn't mention one VERY nice feature that I found. Firstly, my outlook setup was very easy - I just fed it the SMTP server information and my user ID/password and I was set up and ready to go.
Secondly, as soon as my account was set up and configured to sync, I went to my contacts and found that all my outlook contacts had been synchronized automatically to my phone contacts. This is really handy - especially transferring contacts from my old phone to my new one - rather than entering these in manually using the phone, which would have been time consuming, I simply entered my phone contacts into my address book in Outlook, and there they were in my phone!
The phone will also automatically sync other accounts, for instance it will go out to all of your facebook friends and if your friends have their cell phone number listed, the phone will automatically bring them into your contacts, with their First/Last name AND profile pic in tact. Also, if you add your contacts in such a way that they match the contacts name in facebook, even if it did not sync the facebook account because there was no mobile number on record, it will match up the names and synchronize the facebook profile pic automatically.
This is my first smart phone, so maybe I'm a little over-exuberant about what could be standard features; but so far I really like this phone.
