Is the New iPhone Worth It?
On the 11th of July a possible new blockbuster, the second generation of the iPhone, was unleashed upon the world. This next generation of the wildly popular collaboration between Apple and the phone giant AT&T grabbed the attention of fans of Mac gadgets everywhere. But does it really the deserve your notice?

New Iphone? you ment the old Iphone...?
in europe it should cost around $1000 USD but order from the internet & you will get it for $300 USD or less..
I was able to play with it for a while & i must say its not that great, it has all usual phone options & many icons with no logical order on the screen ( I did not find an option to remove 70% of the useless ones ). Sure you can surf the net & wifi worked well. Video was not bad. Its pretty heavy actually & yes the touch screen is great. But still $1000 is overkill.
I would not buy this unless It would cost $100 or less. Is purely my opinion.

You obviously didn't use it much.
I have a 16gb 3g one, its a great phone. The visual icons are able to be moved around, so you can put them in whatever order you like. The touch screen works great, and considering you can't get any sort of decent smart phone for $100 your desired price is a bit ridiculous...
And the 3g iphone is not supposed to cost more than $300 USD anywhere in the world. And should cost? It's already out, has been for a month and a half or so now.

Just to note out what im looking in the phone: [Dont see any point in stuffing anything else in aside this: ]
Small / light / Fast / Easy to use
Good camera
Many GB space
Good battery
Reduced battery usage
Adress book
Options
Must be able to send SMS
Must be able to call
Now you understand Why I dont find Iphone so attractive.

It's battery life isn't reduced, it was increased actually. 3g just drains the battery more, on EDGE speeds the battery life increased.
SMS really is not as important when you have IM and email right at your finger tips.
It can call, it does have e-mail, in fact the 3g has options for much great support of email such as outlook.
And ya.. what you are looking for.. its like everything but the SMS...
And what you want is a smart phone that isn't a smart phone is size/battery.... Any blackberry even will be larger with reduced battery life.
As for fast, you really don't get much faster than the iphone. You haven't done much comparison it seems, what you are looking for its not a phone, it's your dream phone.. phones like that don't exist yet. You can get some of those features but you will always be comprising.
@mad - its under $300 USD anywhere in the world.. the resellers in Romania are obviously bloating the prices, or selling them illegally. Thats about the price that unlocked iphones sell for everywhere else in the world.
