Bundled Software: Reward or Burden?
I know a lot of people here build their own computers. When you finish building your computer, you install the operating system you want and go from there. If you buy a computer from a manufacturer, it comes with an OS and software already preloaded onto the computer. And many users have mixed feelings about that.

all the bundled software that comes with these computers is usually trialware or a nifty little toolbar for internet explorer. all in all, it's still an unusable machine until you remove all the crap that has been pre-installed and install some nice open source software like open office, clamav, cdburnerxp, vlc, etc.

heck, i'd love to to see manufacturers sell pcs without an os--save even more money for those who want linux installed. yeah, you can get linux pre-installed; but, it's only a matter of time before the linux installs have as much crapware as windows installs.
