Fallout 1 and 2 to work on Windows 7

Hi there,

I'm having difficulty getting fallout 1 or 2 to work on my computer.

I open the installation and it's all rainbow colours. I've managed to find a solution to my problems on PCworld website under 'How to play fallout and fallout 2 in windows 7'

HOWEVER, there are 2 problems with this solution. Firstly the link to download 'sfall1' no longer works, scupering my attempts to download fallout.

The second problem came after this:

"put falloutw.exe, critter.dat, and master.dat in the main \Fallout directory"

On the CD i can find no 'falloutw.exe.' Infact no exe files at all! The closest one i found was 'falloutw.___' so i copied that. I then followed the remaining instructions but it didnt work. So i simply changed the 'Falloutw.___' file to an exe file and tried again but still hasn't worked.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
