Vibration from Motherboard panel (CoolerMaster WaveMaster)

Hi All,

I have just bought the 'COOLERMASTER - WAVE MASTER' computer case and have installed all my components.

When switching on I notice a buzzing vibration which goes a little like this mmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm constantly.

I've checked all the fans, and work out that it is the CPU Fan causeing the vibration. The thing is the fan is securely connected to the motherboard, and there is no wobble at all. I believe the problem is that the board the motherboard is mounted too is the vibration culprit. When i press firmly on the back, the buzzing stops, let go and it starts again.

Has anyone seen this problem befor? Is there any solution?

I'm new to this forum so appologies to the admins if I posted this in the wrong section.

Thanks for any help.

Rick-Reid

Just lay it on it's side! Haha, no really, pull everything apart and see if there is any loose screws or anything on the mobo tray. I've never worked with one of those cases, so I can't tell you exactly how their put together. But my guess would be that just something wasn't put together tight enough from the manufacturer. I just thought I'd though a guess at it; some one who's worked with case may know better than me.

yeah sounds like the bearings in your fan arent spinning right, you will need to lube them up, here is what you do.

take the fan out and turn it over, peel off the sticker partially (dont throw it away, you will need to put it back on the fan)

there is a tiny hole in the center, pour some synthetic oil in there, just a few drops.

leave it there for about and hour and then replace the sticker and put it back into the pc and see if the noise has subsided. then come back to me my child.
