My Computer is not detecting the LCD Monitor ... ?

I have purchased a new dell computer but LCD is not connecting with the computer. Any one have the solution.

If the leads are all plugged in and everything is turned on then not really.

To try and determine why it is not working would need some more information like what model computer and display, how is the monitor connected and what OS are you using?
