Help me pick a case

Ok, trying to find the perfect new case for my new system. (new system specs located here, if your interested)

These are the 2 cases that I'm trying to decide between...

Antec 900

and

Thermaltake Armor Jr.

I want to have plenty of room inside, and I'm not too worried about having to transport it much. I want it to run cool, because I plan on gaming and overclocking, but I dont want it to sound like I've got helicopters landing in my room. If you know something better than either of these, please post a link! Thanks.

Well I know of two other cases that I happen to like the looks of.

The Antec P180 and the Thermaltake Kandolf aluminum edition one.

Take a look at the Gigabyte 3D Aurora.

I got one of these myself, today. It is a fantastic looking case and seems to be a good choice for cooling as well. It has support for water cooling, as well as 2 120mm fans at the back and 1 x120mm fan at the front. Modding wise, it looks to be a good contender for that as well.

I installed all my rig innards, with the fans that came with it and it seems a lot quieter that I was expecting.

The link I provided above should provide you with enough infomation on it.

I like the look of both of those cases that you have posted so far, I would have trouble choosing between those two.

Hope you have fun in finding a new case

Hi I'm in the same debate. I have always loved the look of the Thermaltake Armor JR but i have read some very good reviews regrading the Antec Nine Hundred. These are just two of the many i have read. linky
linky
Both of the cases are about the same price so its a tough one. I think I'm becoming more and more keen on the Nine Hundred.
The thing that really turned me to the Armor was the ease of water cooling as it had its own mounts. However this can still be done with the Nine Hundred it just won't look as flush. Plus the amount of fans that can go into the case will probably make it pointless to go along the water cooling route. I hope to be buying a new case in the next month so im in the same boat.

please dont go water cooling with the nine hundred. they put a lot of emphasis with air cooling and airflow effieciency. there also is the fact that the inside of the case isnt really that big, so trying to fit a kit would present a challenge.

its quiet enough on its own. if you need a case to water cool with, get the CM stacker or the Armor Jr.

this case is also super overclocker friendly. 3 of my friends have them with conroe setups inside are currently running E6400's that beat E6600's @ 3.3 ghz. i am the only person who has an AMD rig =/.

I wouldn't go water cooling if i had the nine hundred. I'm still working out what kind of cooling solution I'm after tho. I think if i go water it will have to be the Armor and if fan then it would be the nine hundred.

Well, I just ordered all my stuff a few days ago. Everything will be here on Wed, except the video card, which I'll get Thurs. Anyways, I decided to get the 900. The fan cooling system is bad ass but I will let you know how it all goes so you can get a personal perspective later this week or next week. Oh, I also went with the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro with my e6400, so I should be running at chilly temps wit this setup =)

Are you planning on getting any after market heatsink for your cpu? if so which one?

the gigabyte looks the best i think, and it has the best ventingi reckon because the side panel gives heaps of area in which to place ducting for cpu and gpu fans, without having to cut holes.

if u dont have ducting u will still get good airflow from the giagbyte because of how large the side vent is, so if u have already bought the case, i hope u got the gigabyte!

Sound's good. What graphics card are putting in this rig?
If i was to go down the water cooling path then i would get the Armor JR and the Big Water 745.
If possible i would like to see some photos of your rig when its running.

Ooh stay away from the bigwater, you would be much better off getting some nice heatpipes and sticking with air cooling. Cheap watercooling is no good.
